Campero describi\u00f3 el mecanismo: marcar a Milt\u00f3n Montellano, fotografiar el voto para mostrar a la bancada, borrarlo y votar por Mariaca. En esa jornada, Mariaca obtuvo 115 votos de 161, superando los dos tercios requeridos.La exlegisladora sostuvo adem\u00e1s que el 9 de octubre de 2024 present\u00f3 ante el Tribunal Constitucional una acci\u00f3n de inconstitucionalidad contra la Ley 1597 de convocatoria, que a su criterio vulneraba la Constituci\u00f3n, y que la retir\u00f3 por presi\u00f3n de colegas vinculados al entonces senador Carlos Alarc\u00f3n, actual diputado de Unidad. Mariaca cumple actualmente detenci\u00f3n preventiva en el penal de Cantumarca acusado por enriquecimiento il\u00edcito, tr\u00e1fico de sustancias controladas y organizaci\u00f3n
