La resoluci\u00f3n dispone el cese inmediato de funciones y deja sin efecto la Resoluci\u00f3n 020\/2023-2024 del 21 de octubre de 2024 que lo design\u00f3.La decisi\u00f3n se adopt\u00f3 en aplicaci\u00f3n de la Ley 1773, promulgada este viernes, que modifica el art\u00edculo 25 de la Ley 260 del Ministerio P\u00fablico y faculta a la Asamblea a suspender al Fiscal General cuando se encuentre imputado formalmente o sujeto a medida cautelar personal por delitos penales, con el respaldo de dos tercios. La sesi\u00f3n fue presidida por el titular del Senado, Diego \u00c1vila, en ejercicio de la presidencia de la ALP.Tras la suspensi\u00f3n, el Legislativo qued\u00f3 habilitado para designar en la misma sesi\u00f3n al Fiscal General interino, quien ejercer\u00e1 hasta la elecci\u00f3n del titular conforme a la Constituci\u00f3n.
