Alston Jr., la defensa cuestion\u00f3 la validez de los cargos por lavado de dinero y narcoterrorismo, la conexi\u00f3n con organizaciones como el Clan del Golfo y el PCC, y la forma en que se obtuvo evidencia tras su captura en el aeropuerto Viru Viru de Santa Cruz, su traslado a Lima y luego a Virginia, con interrogatorios de la DEA que, seg\u00fan alegan, se hicieron demorando el acceso a un abogado.El magistrado orden\u00f3 a las partes presentar res\u00famenes de sus argumentos antes del 12 de octubre y anticip\u00f3 que se pronunciar\u00e1 sobre las mociones de la defensa antes del 6 de noviembre.
