El proyecto se financiar\u00eda con inversi\u00f3n privada y el costo se cubrir\u00eda a trav\u00e9s del cobro de un peaje, seg\u00fan anunci\u00f3 durante la firma de un convenio con la ABC este lunes 14 de septiembre de 2026.Dockweiler explic\u00f3 que la conexi\u00f3n busca evitar el paso por La Ceja de El Alto, al que calific\u00f3 como un \u201cserio problema\u201d para los tiempos de traslado al aeropuerto. \u201cEl ciudadano tomar\u00e1 una decisi\u00f3n racional. Si seguimos la autopista y se entra a La Ceja y pierde el tiempo y consume combustible que sea, o la otra es paga un peaje y llega directo al aeropuerto\u201d, sostuvo. El alcalde plante\u00f3 incorporar esta iniciativa a los proyectos de conectividad que ya analizan los equipos t\u00e9cnicos.Adem\u00e1s del t\u00fanel, Dockweiler mencion\u00f3 otras tres obras: la v\u00eda Ramiro Castillo y la salida hacia Los Yungas; la conexi\u00f3n hacia Mallasa como alternativa para llegar a Cochabamba; y la conexi\u00f3n Cumbre-Alto Lima-Hampaturi-Yungas.
