La iniciativa busca cesar de sus funciones a ministros, parlamentarios, alcaldes y gobernadores que den positivo al consumo de sustancias il\u00edcitas.\u00bbEl compromiso de las autoridades tiene que ser total con el combate a estos flagelos\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 Kast desde el Palacio de La Moneda. El proyecto establece pruebas al inicio del cargo y de forma peri\u00f3dica, con resultados p\u00fablicos y contramuestras para garantizar transparencia. La medida aplicar\u00e1 en todo Chile y alcanza a ministros de Estado, subsecretarios, senadores, diputados, delegados presidenciales, gobernadores regionales, consejeros, alcaldes y concejales.La propuesta surge solo tres d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de la renuncia del exsubsecretario de Hacienda de Chile, Juan Pablo Rodr\u00edguez, quien dej\u00f3 el cargo tras dar positivo en un test de drogas.
