La Polic\u00eda revel\u00f3 que L\u00f3pez estaba procesado por tr\u00e1fico de armas de guerra y hab\u00eda sido detenido anteriormente junto a su hermano, quien tambi\u00e9n fue asesinado en 2024.Las investigaciones apuntan a que las armas eran utilizadas para secuestros y cr\u00edmenes por ajustes de cuentas relacionados con el narcotr\u00e1fico.
